Delicate skin and an ever-broadening bald spot mean that sunscreen and a cap are essential in my carry-on, even when I’m checking a bag. I keep a charged solar power bank with me to make sure my phone stays juiced up. I hardly ever leave the house without a reusable water bottle these days.
