Queens Skate Dine Bowl and Meatliquor have launched Liquor Lanes, a private bowling experience replete with its own bar and bartender and bowling lanes.
I dropped by Queens for the Liquor Lanes launch earlier this week and had a blast. I played a few rounds of bowling, scarfed down a couple of cheeseburgers, and enjoyed a little booze. With a pulsating 80s soundtrack piped through the private lanes area and an equally agreeably retro look and feel to the space, the new private bowling area provided an ideal venue for a night of laidback entertainment with ample elbow room and a splash of VIP treatment.
The Liquor Lanes private area featured an OTT crimson colour scheme with dazzling geometric patterns. Seating was comfy. Accessing the bar was a breeze.
Food was wonderfully lughead with a menu of Meatliquor’s finest: cheeseburgers (£8.25 each), halloumi mushroom burgers (£8 each), ginormous onion rings (£3.50) and plenty more. As for beverage, there was a tasty looking cocktail menu, but I was happy sticking with beer (Estrella Damm Inedit on tap).
The launch party was my first visit to Queens. I really like the old school, lowbrow atmosphere of Queens (lots of neon and nods to Americana design of decades past). Whether booking the Liquor Lanes or not, a full Meatliquor menu is available to patrons.
Service was fast, friendly and attentive throughout the event.
