Lonely Planet has published a new book featuring the best distilleries and bars in 33 countries that you can visit with advice on what to drink when you get there.
Lonely Planet’s Global Distillery Tour offers readers the chance to discover the exciting world of artisan spirits with insights on distilleries and bars across the globe, including South Africa, Canada, the US, Mexico, Japan, Indonesia, France, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
I’ve teamed up with Lonely Planet to go one step further by offering tikichris readers the chance to win a copy of this thirst quenching book for free.
The 264-page hardback book with loads of colour photos lists distilleries alphabetically by region. Each distillery has a suggested must-try drink or tasting experience and also recommended local sights so you can explore the local area in between tasting sessions. It also includes details about bars that are best-in-class for their selection of a particular drink, such as arak in Lebanon or tuak in Malaysia. At the back of the book, there’s a cocktails section to help make the most of your liquid souvenirs once you’re back home for your own distillery tour.
