After a couple of especially busy weeks, I find myself with some unexpected free time on a Sunday morning. I reckon this is as good a time as any to pause and reflect and write another post for my 2023 Resolution series.
Halfway through May, I marvel how the year is almost halfway over. Time flies when you’re having fun? I suppose so. But in addition to fun, I’ve dealt with a few struggles and challenges over the past few months. Despite the hiccups and hardships, I’m pleased to report that at this actual moment right now everything is hunky dory.
As for this particular blog series, it’s rolling along with minimal effort. I thought it was going to require loads of concentration and planning to maintain momentum. On the contrary, opportunities to add to the now 15-post series present themselves when it makes sense for me, and the ideas I’m coming up with seem to flow naturally.
The intentional act of focusing on my progress has worked wonders for actually achieving the stated goal of my resolution: to start blogging regularly again. I certainly am regularly blogging and very much enjoying it. In doing so, I’ve rediscovered a balance to life that I let slip.
Back in January when I published the initial post in this series, I wrote that my sense of the world was fading and with it so was my confidence. Since then, things definitely have improved.
I’ve got my mojo back.
Until my next 2023 Resolution update, check out the progress to which I refer by having a look at some of my recent content:
- Tracking the Lion Man, a five-post limited series about my trip in March to Switzerland and Germany;
- Bilbao City Break, a one-off post about going solo in one of Spain’s most delicious cities; and
- The latest episode of All Consumed, a podcast I cohost and coproduce.
Cheers!
