New Viva! Cookbook: Everyone Can Cook Vegan

Tis the season to be vegan? You decide. But for those who are, a nifty new cookbook from vegan charity, Viva! would be a right tasty Christmas present.

The book, Everyone Can Cook Vegan, features more than 100 recipes designed with even the least experienced cooks in mind. The recipes are by Vegan Recipe Club’s Maryanne Hall, a plant-based chef with experience working in vegan restaurants, Demuths Cookery School, and more.

Some of the dishes to make include chickpea and mango curry on the savoury side and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Just flipping through, a couple of recipes that I’m most keen to try are the tofu katsu curry and the gooey chocolate fudge cake.

Says Hall of her recipes, “I wanted every recipe in this cookbook to be accessible, straightforward and delicious, using readily available ingredients, with clear instructions for both novice and experienced cooks alike.” Instructions for items like the Ultimate Tahini Sauce and the Essential Viniagrette are easy to read and follow using common shop shelf ingredients and include serving suggestions.

Everyone Can Cook Vegan is available for purchase online at vivashop.org.uk.

I received a review copy of this book from Viva!, the UK’s largest vegan charity.
