Zay Ahmed has a crisp and colourful breakfast at East Village Market.
This weekend I popped down to the East Village Market, curated by Alistair Maddox (of Broadway Market fame) and treated myself to Instagram’s latest food trend, magical Mermaid Toast.
I had the choice of four Mermaid inspired recipes, including The Ariel (my favourite) – a pastel bright strawberry and mint concoction – and a moody, dark ocean scene complete with blackberries and Nutella Oreo Yoghurt in honour of Ariel’s nemesis, Ursula.
After devouring my delicious ‘catch of the day’, I nabbed myself a beanbag on the grass and sat back to enjoy the buzzy atmosphere of the market complete with live music and street performers. There were lots of different treats on offer, from acai bowls to rosehip moonshine, I’ll definitely be back soon.
