Coffee Lounge Pop-Up at Old Street Station | My Coffee with Melitta

To celebrate its 111th anniversary, premium coffee machine maker Melitta is launching its first ever pop-up. Look for it inside Old Street Station during the last week of March.

For the latest post in the My Coffee collaboration with Melitta, I’m pleased to share the news about an upcoming opportunity for Londoners to find out what’s so great about enjoying coffee made the Melitta way. The brand is setting up shop with in the illuminated tunnels of Old Street Station with a limited run Melitta Coffee Lounge.



The lounge will be open from 7.30am to 7pm Monday the 25th to Friday the 29th.

During its five-day run, commuters will be welcomed in to check out Melitta’s range of Bean to Cup and Filter Coffee machines and more – or to simple drop in and relax over a quality coffee in a comfortable spot.

Melitta will also be hosting a number of free events at the lounge, including the following:

  • Wednesday 27 March (6.30pm-8pm)
    – Staying on Top of Your Game: have a coffee and with health and fitness specialist Harry Jameson, one of the most sought after personal trainers in London, who will be on hand to share tips about keeping in shape;
  • Thursday 28 March (6.30pm-8pm)
    – Let it Pour: learn the art of making the perfect Pour Over coffee with expert barista, Celeste Wong/The Girl in the Café;
  • Friday 29 March (6.30pm-8pm)
    – Coffee-tails: learn how to make, serve and drink a delicious mocha-nut coffee-based cocktail with expert barista, Celeste Wong/The Girl in the Café.

Proceeds from the coffee sold at the lounge will be donated to St Luke’s Community Centre, a charity helping residents in the EC1 area to overcome poverty, social problems and poor health through a variety of services, activities and events.

Look for the Melitta Coffee Lounge inside Old Street Station opposite Nincomsoup cafe, EC1Y 1BE.
