For this episode of All Consumed, I take a quick trip to Amsterdam for the launch of the Super Lyan bar at the Kimpton De Witt hotel. While there, I sit down with Super Lyan founder, Ryan Chetiyawardana aka Mr Lyan, for an interview.
Ryan is the driving force behind some of London’s best loved and most awarded bars – including the legendary and now defunct White Lyan in Hoxton and Lyaness at Sea Containers London (formerly known as Dandelyan). Ryan’s first venture outside of London, Super Lyan at the Kimpton De Witt will be followed by another bar project slate to open in Washington DC later this year.
During the interview, Ryan shares what it is that inspires him in Amsterdam and why Super Lyan is the bar that comes closest to being his dream venue.
