Burns Night Menu Review: Blueprint Cafe at the Design Museum
Londonist, January 25, 2011 at 13:00 pm
Until the 30th of January £17.50 gets visitors to the Design Museum’s Blueprint Cafe a Burns Night feast of yummy proportions and proper Scottish favour. A candlelit, riverside window sampling (upon invitation by the restaurant) of the menu pleased our palates thoroughly, while a few bites from the non-Burns menu had us keen to return for more.

Chefspective: Marcellin Marc, Head Chef at Clos Maggiore
Londonist, January 20, 2011 at 14.30 pm
All but blown away with chef Marcellin Marc’s ‘ultimate chocolate menu‘ back in October, we’ve kept his Covent Garden French restaurant, Clos Maggiore, in mind over the months, often remembering fondly delectable elements of the meal, the quality of service and Clos Maggiore’s lovely conservatory. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we thought now would be a good time to have a chat with Marcellin and find out what he thinks makes Clos Maggiore such an esteemed, romantic and delicious place to dine.

Qype does London, January 20th 2011
Last night’s exclusive preview dinner at The Commonwealth Kitchen was a wonderful 2011 kick off for what promises to be another brilliant year of fun Qype events. Top reason I strolled home with a grin? Killer convos with a friendly mix of Qypers old and new! Setting such a conducive tone for the merry mingle session? The Kitchen’s comfy and contemporary dining area, exceptionally courteous service and delicious dishes paired with quality quaffs. Allow me to rub it in a bit with a …

Exhibition Review: Having a Dig: Sweet Toof, New Paintings and Shan Hur at Arch402 Gallery
Londonist, January 12, 2011 at 15:00 pm
Do a mental mash up Henry Chalfant’s “Style Wars” with … oh, let’s say … Constable and you might get some idea of what infamous East London graff artist Sweet Toof’s new studio works are like. It’s a grim, death riddled world he depicts, with desperate forces assembling to spread vibrant and illicit pinks and greens across an otherwise drab and neutral landscape.
