Tuesday 17 September will see the Scotch Egg Challenge return to The Ship in Wandsworth for a third year and first time to team up with humanitarian charity Action Against Hunger with a two and a half day online auction “eggs-travaganza”.
For the event, more than 20 top restaurants and pubs will compete for the prestige of winning by a panel of experts including celebrity chef Gizzi Erskine, Kevin Love (Head Chef at Heston Blumenthal’s Michelin-starred The Hind’s Head) and Stefan Chomka (Deputy Editor of Restaurant magazine). Following the event, The Ship and Action Against Hunger will hold a two and a half day online auction to give ScotchEgg enthusiasts the chance to bid and raise funds for the charity. The auction runs from midnight on the 17th until noon on the 20th.
