Brunch at Blueprint Café

When the sun is out, a table at Blueprint Café overlooking the Thames is a glorious spot to enjoy a meal. And it’s been my experience that the café’s Head Chef Martyn Moody’s meals are definitely enjoyable. His new Saturday brunch menu is a guaranteed weekend delight. Bermondsey Street Festival Returns to South London (CheapOair)

Bermondsey Street Festival is an annual celebration of music, dance, arts, cuisine and creativity situated in and around one of London’s quaintest little lanes. The festival is entirely volunteer-led and can draw big crowds. Last year the event saw 15,000 visitors enjoying a range of activities including a dog show, a fashion show, maypole dancing, an open air cinema and more than 100 stalls. This year attendee numbers are expected to nearly double. Continue reading

The Great British Tapas Project with José Pizarro and Codorníu (Blue Tomato)

With his eponymous and popular tapas bar and an equally adored sit-down restaurant (each just a minute’s walk away from the other on the trendy restaurant row that is Bermondsey Street), chef patron José Pizarro knows a thing or two about tapas and the British palate. Now, this master of the London tapa (before opening his own eateries, José was a chef at Eyre Brothers, Gaudi and Brindisa) has teamed up with cava brand, Codorníu, to add a Spanish twist to some of Britain’s most popular dishes – with the launch of the Great British Tapas project.
